Bayston, Mrs Elizabeth Danger [née Ruddock] – Born: Marylebone, London on 12.5.1856.[1]  Parents: Grevile Ruddock (Accountant) and Marianne [née Danger].  Family Connections: Mother of Eva Constance Bayston [b1898] and sister-in-law of Ellen Sophia Bayston [b1855] see entries below.  Home: Hall Street, Long Melford (1901) to [1916], 85 Melford Road, Sudbury, Suffolk [1927], 8 Queensdown Road, Hackney, London [1929 and 1930], 4 Grove Hill Road, Camberwell, London [1931 to 1934], 6 Elm Grove, Minehead, Somerset (1939).[2]  Occupation: Chemist’s Bookkeeper (1891).  Married: George Coryndon Bayston (Pharmaceutical Chemist) in 1895.  Service Record: Mrs Bayston was a volunteer with the British Red Cross Society from October 1916 to October 1918 and a member of the Red Cross Working Party in Long Melford.[3]  Died: Parkstone, Dorset on 11.1.1942.[4]

Bayston, Miss Ellen Sophia – Born: Wolverhampton, Staffordshire in 1855.  Parents: George Coryndon Bayston (Accountant) and Sophia [née Martin].  Family Connections: Sister-in-law of Elizabeth Danger Bayston [b1856] and aunt of Eva Constance Bayston [b1898] see entries above and below.  Home: Hall Street, Long Melford (1901) to [1923].  Occupation: Governess (1901), Private Tutor (1911).  Service Record: Miss Bayston was a volunteer with the British Red Cross Society from January 1916 to October 1918 and a member of the Red Cross Working Party in Long Melford.[5]  Died: Long Melford, Suffolk on 21.4.1923.[6]

Bayston, Miss Eva Constance – Born: Long Melford, Suffolk on 28.7.1898.[7]  Parents: George Coryndon Bayston (Pharmaceutical Chemist) and Elizabeth Danger [née Ruddock] [for her details see above].  Family Connections: Niece of Ellen Sophia Bayston [b1855] see entry above.  Home: Hall Street, Long Melford (1901 and 1911), 8 Queensdown Road, Hackney, London [1929 and 1930], 4 Grove Hill Road, Camberwell, London [1931 to 1934], 6 Elm Grove, Minehead, Somerset (1939), 120 Redland Road, Bristol, Gloucestershire [1954].[8]  Service Record: Miss Bayston acted as a canvasser during the 1917 Long Melford recruiting drive.  Died: Bristol, Gloucestershire on 14.7.1954.[9]
