The Heritage Trust is very keen to work with local Schools to advance the knowledge of the Pupils in the field of Archaeology in Long Melford and District, last year we conducted a dig at Long Melford Football Ground where we excavated the remains of an Iron Age building, the pupils of Long Melford Primary School were invited to come along and view our progress, they also took the opportunity to visit our Heritage Centre Museum, as a result of all this we received a very nice letter from the School. We hope to involve the School in our excavations again this year. February 2023.
