CADMAN, Charles ‘Charlie’ Edward 1901-1979

Born: Hacheston, Suffolk on 23.11.1901.[1]  Parents: Charles Ernest Cadman and Charlotte Jane [née Orford].  Family Connection: Father of Dennis William Cadman [b1927] and Paul Edward Cadman [b1932].  Home: Brunswick House, Bridge Street, Wickham Market, Suffolk (1911), 79 Brunswick Road, Ipswich, Suffolk (1939), Station Masters House, Long Melford (1943 to 1956), 136 Britton Close, Watlington, Kings Lynn, Norfolk [1956-1979].  Occupation: Railway Clerk at Halesworth, Suffolk [1915], (1939), Station Master at Woodhall Spa, Lincs [1942], Station Master at Barflow, Essex [1943-1945], Station Master at Long Melford (1945 to 1956), Station Master at King Lynn [1956-1967].  Married: Ivy Ada Elliston in 1924.  Service Record: No definitive military record has been found.  Died: Ipswich, Suffolk in 1979.[2]

CADMAN, Dennis William 1927-2005

Born: Ipswich, Suffolk on 10.8.1927.[1]  Parents: Charles Edward Cadman (Station Master at Long Melford 1845 to 1956) [see details above] and Ivy Ada [née Elliston].  Family Connection: Brother to Paul Edward Cadman [b1932].  Home: 21 Connaught Road, Haverhill, Suffolk [2003-2005].  Marriage: Eileen K. Slater in 1954.  Service Record: Dennis enlisted at Padgate in Cheshire in 1945 as No.3501422 with the Royal Air Force.[2]  Died: Sudbury, Suffolk in 2005.

CADMAN, Paul Edward 1932-2001

Born: Ipswich, Suffolk on 29.3.1932.[1]  Parents: Charles Edward Cadman (Station Master at Long Melford 1845 to 1956) [see details above] and Ivy Ada [née Elliston].  Family Connection: Brother to Dennis William Cadman [b1927].  Home: Crossing House, Rodbridge, Long Melford (1954-1956), New Barn Field, Cockfield, Suffolk [1966].[2]  Occupation: Porter and Fireman at Long Melford Station.  Marriage: June Lillian Ethel Nears in 1954. Service Record: Paul served as No.2481259 with the Royal Air Force as a National Serviceman in the 1950s.[3]  Died: Colchester, Essex in 2001.[4]
