Seeley, Bertie Walter – Born: Long Melford, Suffolk on 10.5.1894.[1]  Parents: James Seeley (Horseman on Farm) and Mary Ann [née Gilman].  Family Connections: Brother-in-law of Harry Mills [b1895].  Home: Stone Houses, Sudbury Road, Rodbridge, Long Melford, Suffolk (1901 to 1911), 9 Middleton Road, Ballingdon-cum-Brundon, Sudbury (1939) to [1960].  Occupation: Errand Boy (1911), Brewer’s Labourer (1939).  Married: Ethel Mary Deeks in 1920.  Service Record: Bertie was conscripted after 1915 as Pte.19973, later Pte.320764 with the Suffolk Regiment, transferring as Spr.611836 to the Royal Engineers.[2]  Died: Ballingdon-cum-Brundon, Sudbury, Suffolk on 4.2.1960.[3]

Mills, Harry – Born: Sudbury, Suffolk on 19.10.1895.[4]  Parents: Harry Mills (Coconut Mat Maker) and Emma [née Sherman].  Family Connections: Brother-in-law of Bertie Walter Seeley [b1895].  Home: 83 Cross Street, Sudbury, Suffolk (1901 to 1921), 54 Clarence Road, Sudbury (1939).  Occupation: Coconut Mat Maker for W. Armes Ltd (1921 to 1939).  Married: Liliam May Seeley in 1923.  Service Record: In December 1912 Harry joined the Territorial Force as a member of 54^th [East Anglian] Divisional Train, Army Service Corps until his discharge and conscription on 20.11.1915 as Dvr. T4/160611 to 486 [Horse Transport] Company, Army Service Corps.  He was posted to Salonika from January 1916 to May 1919, when he was returned to England and discharged.[5]  Died: Sudbury, Suffolk in 1974.
